Scholar passes away

HYDERABAD: Eminent scholar T. Gopalakrishna Rao, known for his research work on ‘Folklore Ramayana' in Telugu and Kannada that received acclaim died in a road accident on Thursday last. He was 67 and is survived by his wife, a son and daughter. Gopalakrishna Rao was honoured with the Best Teacher Award by the State government in 1981 and he also served as a Member of the Board of Studies in Department of Telugu, Mysore University between 1995 and 1998, a press release said.
