NABARD State office best in country
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh regional office of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has been adjudged number one regional office in the country, on the basis of its performance during the financial year 2010-11.
It was ranked eighth last year. CGM of NABARD regional office here P. Mohanaiah said on Monday that the AP regional office had achieved targets under all parameters except disbursements under RIDF. They had disbursed refinance of Rs. 2,293.47 crore, highest for any regional office in the country, to commercial banks, regional rural banks and cooperative banks. They also disbursed Rs. 3,436 crore refinance for (crop loans) in the State, against a target of Rs. 2,250 crore.
