EPFO directive to establishments

Special Correspondent

Chennai: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has asked all establishments covered under the EPF&MP Act, 1952 to submit the pending annual returns for 2010-11 to avoid penal actions.

K.V. Sarveswaran, Regional PF Commissioner – I, Chennai Region, said the annual returns for 2010-11 in Form 3A/6A has to be submitted by all establishments as per para 43 of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952, before April 30.

Penal action

The non-submission of the above returns in time would not only delay the process of crediting of interest and issue of annual account slips to the subscribers but would also attract penal action under Section 14(2) of the Act. All employers should submit pending returns in Form 3A/6A immediately to avoid coercive actions, he said.
