Collector's fiat for counting officials

TIRUVARUR: Collector K. Baskaran has directed the officials involved in counting of votes to be present at the counting centre, Thiru.Vi.Ka.Government College, by 6 a.m. on May 13.

In a discussion with the officials on the preparations for May 13, he said that all the Electronic Voting Machines from four Assembly constituencies in the district-Tiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi, Nannilam and Mannargudi-have been kept at Thiru.Vi.Ka Governmnt College safely. He asked the counting personnel not to take cellular phones, match boxes, tobacco or tobacco-related products into the centres. Agents of the political parties should be present at the counting centres by 7 a.m.

M.Thangavel, District Revenue Officer, Sri Raman, Revenue Divisional Officer and other officials participated.
