4 held on murder charge

Nagercoil: Four persons were arrested at Nagercoil on Thursday in connection with the murder of State vice-president of the Akhila Bharat Hindu Maha Sabha, Sreekumar alias Maruthi Adigalar (33). He was hacked to death by a gang on May 3 at Mealakrishnanputhoor.

Vijyakumar alias Vijayan (38), Prabhu (28), Suresh (39) and Ranjith (34), all from the district, were arrested. They told the police that they killed Maruthi Adigalar to avenge the murder of Krishnan alias Krishna Kumar, a rowdy.
