Girl jumps from court building

VELLORE: A 14-year-old girl from Arcot sustained serious injures as she jumped from the second floor of the Integrated Court Complex in Sathuvachari here on Friday.

According to police, the girl had gone missing and was reportedly found with with Sakthivel (21) of Senji in Villupuram district. As she was a minor, a case of kidnapping was filed against Sakthivel. When the case came up before the Judicial Magistrate-4, Vellore, on Friday, he ordered the girl to go with her parents after ascertaining her wish. When her parents were escorting her out of the court, she suddenly jumped from the second floor. With serious injures, she was been admitted to the Christian Medical College Hospital here.
