NALGONDA: Major and Medium Irrigation Minister P. Sudarshan Reddy on Thursday assured the 6,000 families which would be affected by the Rs. 1,400-crore Pulichintala Project that the government would do ‘full justice' to them, ensuring that every family got what is due to them, like compensation and housing.

Speaking to press persons after visiting the project site and inspecting the works, the Minister sought to assure the 6,000 families — 5,000 BPL and 1,000 pink card-holers — which would be displaced that the government would ensure the maximum benefits were accrued to them.

Aid given

Earlier, at a review meeting with some affected families, he handed over a cheque for Rs.2 crore. Minister for Panchayat Raj K. Jana Reddy said a house would be allotted to each major member of the families. Both the Ministers asserted that the government would secure all required permissions before going ahead with the project work.

MLA's plea

G. Sukhender Reddy, MP, stated that in addition to the sanction of Rs. 53,000 for each house to the displaced families, the government would allot an Indiramma house to each family.

N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Huzurnagar legislator, pleaded with Mr. Sudarshan Reddy that each displaced family should be allotted houses by the Government.
