Second reshuffle in Rajasthan Police administration in one week

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has transferred 40 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS), including an Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP) and seven Inspectors-General (IGs). Two Deputy Commissioners have been posted in Jaipur to add teeth to the newly-introduced Police Commissioner system.

The administrative reshuffle of senior police officers, second in the week, finds T.L. Meena, till now Inspector-General of Police (Udaipur Range), as the new ADGP in telecommunications. Govind Gupta replaces him as the IG for Udaipur Range. Umesh Mishra is the new IG for Jodhpur Range, while Sunil Mathur and Madhusudan Singh would be IGs for personnel and vigilance respectively. Sunil Dutt is the new IG for Bharatpur Range. Amrit Kalash will be IG; Armed Battalion I. Hariram Meena's new posting is as IG (Security).

Smitha Srivastava is the new DIG (Anti-Corruption Bureau) while Vishal Bansal is DIG (Personnel). Other DIGs with their respective postings are: Gurucharn Rai (Law & Order, Jaipur), Giriraj Lal Meena (Training), Gajanand Verma, Commandant (ATS, Jaipur), Girdharilal Sharma (Special Branch, Jaipur), Mohan Singh Nitherwal (Rajasthan Armed Constabulary, Jaipur) and Devendra Singh (Prisons, Jodhpur).

Ravikant Mittal's new posting is as DIG, Special Operations Group, Jaipur. The two Deputy Commissioners for Jaipur are Sharat Kaviraj (DCP West) and Mahendra Singh Choudhry (DCP East).

Hawa Singh Ghoomariya, formerly DCP East, gets the post of DIG (Crime). The districts of Sikar, Nagur, Bharatpur, Sirohi, Karauli, Pratapgarh, Jhalawar, Baran, Jalore, Kota (Rural) Jaipur (Rural), Jodhpur (Rural) and Jaisalmer now get new SPs. Deepak Kumar is the new Traffic Commissioner, Jodhpur, while Rajesh Meena has been posted as the new DCP in Jodhpur. Sawai Singh Choudhary is the new SP Jaipur (Rural).
