Parigi meeting may further Nagam's ‘confrontation' with the party leadership Dadi tells Nagam not to corner the party leadership on the issue HYDERABAD: Buoyed by the success of his ‘Telangana Nagaara' public meeting held at his constituency headquarters Nagarkurnool on May 9, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy has announced a similar meeting at Parigi in Ranga Reddy district on May 21. The meeting is likely to deepen his ‘confrontation' with the party leadership further, particularly after the formation of a TDP Telangana Coordination Committee (TTCC) by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu with an aim to limit his role on Telangana issue within the party. Mr. Naidu has made Mr. Reddy in-charge of the committee for Mahabubnagar district, while he was convener of the disbanded TDP Telangana Forum. In a measure that is being seen as rubbing salt on the wound, Mr. Reddy on Saturday stated that he would either use the party flag or party chief's portrait for the meeting only if the latter wrote a letter to Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram stating that TDP was still committed to Telangana cause as mentioned in the party's letter sent to Pranab Mukherjee Committee on October 9, 2008. Talking to media persons here, Mr. Janardhan Reddy said some Telangana leaders were in deep slumber and he was making an effort to awaken them on the Telangana cause by holding such public meetings. It had already become amply clear that the Congress had appointed Srikrishna Committee only to deflate the movement. Faults TRS, TJAC Taking a dig at the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), Dr. Janardhan Reddy said the TJAC had become the TRS Action Committee as it was targeting individual politicians. He suggested the TRS and the TJAC to criticise policies of parties on the issue and not the individuals. Mr. Reddy criticised TJAC convener M. Kodandaram for asking TDP Telangana legislators to quit the party and sought to know why he didn't ask the TRS to do the same first and make its MLAs fight on Telangana flag without party affiliation. Meanwhile, another TDP leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao found fault with Mr. Janardhan Reddy's attitude and suggested him not to corner the party leadership on an issue which was not in its purview.
