Six houses damaged

SIVAKASI: One person was injured and six asbestos-roofed houses damaged after newly-laid concrete roof of a marriage hall caved in here on Tuesday. The workers, who were standing on the roof, escaped without any injury, the Sivakasi Tahsildar, V. Ramasamy, said. The marriage hall is located on ASK Sangaiah Nadar Road.
The concrete for the roof of the first floor was laid some 20 days back that fell down at around 3.30 p.m. One worker, Selvam (28) was injured. The debris damaged six houses in the adjacent land. Three houses were fully damaged and the remaining partially damaged, he added.
