CHAMPION: The triumphant UFCC (T. Nagar) squad. Chennai: UFCC (T. Nagar) claimed the C.P. Johnstone Shield, for the TNCA second division cricket league championship, with a tally of 44 points after winning all the 11 matches it played in the season. UFCC gets promoted to the senior division by virtue of its championship win. ICF (32 points from eight wins and three defeats) is the other team to earn promotion to the senior division. N.K. Arjun was the outstanding performer for UFCC with the bat, averaging 217.50 totalling 435 runs in eight innings and remaining not out in six. Satish was the other batman to cross the four hundred mark. (401 to be exact). Deepak Singh, with a tally of 27 wickets at 11.89 apiece, topped the bowling department. Eagle CC and Swaraj CC have been demoted to third division. Faiz takes five Faiz Ahmed's spell of five for 14 helped Adambakkam CA notch up a five wicket win over RKM CA in the CSCA-Dr.Vimala convent u-12 cricket tournament here.
