TIRUCHI: The Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies, Chennai, has invited applications for the programmes it offers in Labour Management it offers at the levels of under-graduation, post-graduation and post-graduate diploma (part-time). The two degree courses are affiliated to the University of Madras and the Diploma course is recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu. These courses that provide abundant employment opportunities in H.R. departments of industries have been included in the Tamil Nadu Factories Labour Welfare Officers Rules as preferential qualification for appointment of Labour Welfare Officers in private and public sector undertakings. The courses are also preferential qualification for appointment as Assistant Inspector of Labour and Labour Officer in Labour Department, Assistant Commissioner of Labour Department, Tiruchi, S. Sundararaj, said in a press release. Those with Plus Two qualification are eligible for B.A. Labour Management and any graduate could apply for M.A. Labour Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Management, the release said.
