Free mass marriage in Shimoga on June 6

Shimoga: A free mass marriage ceremony will be held under the aegis of Shubhamangala Seva Trust at Shubhamangala Samudaya Bhavan here on June 6.

Shubha Mangala Trust president K.E. Kanthesh told presspersons here on Wednesday that the mass marriage ceremony would be organised to mark the 63rd birth anniversary of Bharatiya Janata Party State unit president K.S. Eshwarappa.

Veerasomeshwara Shivacharya of Rambhapuri Math and Odeyar Chandrashekhar Swamiji of Hirekal Math would take part in the programme. The mass marriage ceremony was being organised for the third consecutive year by the trust, he said.

Mr. Kanthesh said 104 couple tied nuptial knot in the ceremony held in 2009 and 123 couple in 2010. Those couples interested to enter wedlock at the ceremony should furnish certificates for age and domicile proof signed by authorities of the trust.
