NEW DELHI: Seeking to build a case against the continuation of the B.S. Yeddyurappa Ministry, a delegation of Karnataka Congress leaders on Saturday urged the Centre to take appropriate action on the report of the Governor recommending dismissal of the BJP government in the State. The delegation, including State Congress chief G. Parameshwar, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, his counterpart in the Council Motamma, senior party leader Oscar Fernandes and others met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue. Briefing the media, Mr. Siddaramiah said the Yeddyurappa regime had lost the right to continue in office and should go. The delegation echoed the vociferous demand of the State Congress that has been seeking the dismissal of the Yeddyurappa government in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling. The court has set aside the Karnataka High Court order upholding the Speaker's decision disqualifying 16 legislators. Mr. Siddaramaiah said Dr. Singh assured the delegation that the Centre would take a decision after taking into consideration all aspects of the issue. Decision deferred The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs discussed the report sent by the Governor on Friday but deferred a decision till Sunday. The delegation is also scheduled to meet Defence Minister A.K. Antony and is hoping to interact with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, a Congress leader said.
