Cyber crime against corporates ‘rising'

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: Modern-day corporate institutions are more vulnerable to cyber crimes because of their increasing shift to e-commerce transactions, according to High Tech Crime Inquiry cell investigator Assistant Commandant Vinaykumar Nair.

Speaking on “Implications of Cyber Laws among Corporate Professionals” at a conference organised by the Institute of Company Secretaries here, Mr. Nair said that corporate transactions relied on large scale use of e-forms, digital signatures, online payments, and other online communications.

K. K. Balu, former vice chairman of the Company Law Board, inaugurated the conference
