KOLKATA: School teachers will get their salary on the first of every month, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced here on Tuesday. The decision will come into effect immediately and the salaries are likely to be regularised by June. It has also been decided that “a data bank of State employees” be prepared. “Unfortunately no information is available on the number of employees (in the government)… Nothing is available,” she added. The salary of para teachers and part-time teachers will also be paid on the first of every month, Ms. Banerjee added.
