Rapid strides:The channel has come up with some shows that remain trendsetters. Offering some stiff competition for other channels in the general entertainment segment, it was time for celebration at Zee Telugu last week. As it kept widening its horizons on both the fiction and non-fiction categories, the channel went in for its sixth anniversary celebrations on a cheerful note. Along its journey, the channel has come up with some shows that remain trendsetters and still evoke good memories and most popular among them happens to be ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. At the same time, ‘Aata' despite controversies coming its way, did scale high on the popularity charts. And naturally Zee Telugu describes these shows as ‘channel drivers'. Other leaders among their respective genres have been shows such as ‘Mee Inti Vanta' and ‘Bhakti Samacharam' which crossed the 2,000 episode milestones. For the health conscious, if Zee Telugu came out with widely watched ‘Ayurvedam', then fun-filled entertainers such as ‘Gadasari Atta Sogasari Kodalu' held sway among women viewers. On the fiction band, the channel had soaps and serials such as ‘Chinna Kodalu' and ‘Muddu Bidda' that ran for popular viewing and were succeeded by others such as ‘Pasupu Kumkuma' and ‘Radha Kalyanam'. According to the channel, recent launches such as ‘Kanyadanam' and ‘Kalavari Kodalu' too have started to garner ratings. Not to lag behind on blockbuster movies, the channel says it had been able to bank in films such as ‘Mirapakaya', ‘Ala Modalayinid' and ‘Nagavalli'. “We have a great range of Telugu films specially blockbusters from recent successes to all-time hits thus enabling us to offer wholesome entertainment package,” Zee Telugu maintains.
