TANCET at nine centres

COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission to MBA, MCA, M.E., M. Tech., and M. Arch. courses will be held in nine centres in Coimbatore on May 28 and 29.

According to R. Sundararajan, Principal of Government College of Technology (GCT) and Co-ordinator of TANCET, Coimbatore Zone, the examinations for MBA and MCA aspirants will be held on May 28 and for the others it will be held on May 29.

A total of 4,916 candidates are appearing for MBA and MCA, while 6,283 are appearing for M.E., M.Tech., and M. Arch. courses. MBA candidates have to attend the examination from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on May 28. MCA candidates will write the examination on the same day from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Those who have applied for M.E., M.Tech., and M. Arch, will write the examination from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on May 29.

“The centres have been allotted to students and the same has been printed on the hall tickets that were issued at GCT from April 1. Candidates from any part of the State who have a problem with the hall ticket can collect the duplicate from GCT on May 27,” he said.

The results would be published 20 days from the date of examination. Candidates had to apply for counselling based on the results. The counselling for MBA and MCA will be held in Coimbatore, while for technical courses it will be held in Chennai. For details, call 0422-2451100.
