People urged to donate blood and save lives

Special Correspondent

Employees of Cooperative Department donate blood at a camp held in Mahabubnagar

MAHABUBNAGAR: Collector M. Purushotham Reddy inaugurated the blood donation camp at Indian Red Cross Society office here on Wednesday.

The staff of Cooperative Department donated blood.

Mr. Reddy complimented the staff of the department saying it should serve as inspiration to personnel of other departments, NGOs and other organisations.

He said blood donation in time would save precious lives. No amount of medical efforts or money would save a person if blood was not available.

He said a formal request was made to all departments to encourage blood donation through Indian Red Cross Society or any other medical agency to build up blood reserves in the blood banks.

District Cooperative Officer Subramanyam, Indian Redcross Society district secretary Khazakutubuddin, state committee member A. Nataraj and others were present.
