Good response to online registration in Virudhunagar

EASY:Collector V.K. Shanmugam handing over a registration card to a student who registered her name in the Employment Office while getting her Plus Two mark statement from her school in Virudhunagar on Wednesday.

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Distribution of Plus Two mark statements and registration in employment exchange through online facility took place simultaneously in all the 167 higher secondary schools in Virudhunagar district on Wednesday.

Collector V.K. Shanmugam handed over the employment office registration card to students in K.V. Sala Higher Secondary school here. Registration done by the students for 15 days would get the same seniority of registration as on May 25.

He said that 18,094 students had passed in the Plus Two examination in the district and training given to the people involved in registration helped in smooth processing on the first day.

He inspected a few schools in Rajapalayam where the response from the students for registration was good. Officials from the Education Department and Department of Employment and Training supervised the online facility.

Police protection was provided to schools where a large number of students were expected to come for registration. The registration could also be done at the Employment office, the Collector said.
