Bishops call on Jayalalithaa

CHENNAI: Two different delegations led by Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore A.M. Chinnappa and Church of South India (CSI) moderator S. Vasanthakumar called on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday and extended their greetings and well-wishes to her. The first delegation comprised Rev. Chinnappa and eight bishops, while the second team was led by CSI deputy moderator G. Devakadasham that included 12 other bishops from places such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Jaffna, CSI treasurer, legal advisor and former minister.
During the interaction with the Chief Minister, the representatives hoped that the Chief Minister would solve all the problems faced by the minority community.
