HIGH DRAMA:Police prevent TRS activists from entering the residence of TDP MLA E. Dayakar Rao in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. WARANGAL: Scores of TRS party workers were lathicharged and taken into custody by the police when they tried to gatecrash into the residence of TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao here on Wednesday. However, a group of students belonging to Kakatiya University JAC hurled stones damaging the windows of the residence. Scores of women staged a demonstration at the entry gate and hurled slippers into the residence of Mr. Dayakar Rao. The TRS leaders said that they would continue to heckle the TDP leaders, particularly Mr. Dayakar Rao accusing him of trying to belittle the ongoing separate Telangana movement. ADILABAD: The TRS demanded that the government to table a bill in the forthcoming session of Parliament to carve out Telangana State. 'The party also demanded either a rollback of Bt cotton seed price or wanted the government to shoulder the burden accruing due to the enhanced prices. TRS Adilabad district president K. Srihari Rao led a dharna staged by party activists in front of the Collectorate to press for these demands. SANGAREDDY: Tension prevailed for some time at the district headquarters in Medak district when the TRS tried to enforce Collectorate Muttadi programme. At least two important leaders of the party – R. Satyanarayana and S. Ramalinga Reddy- were able to reach up to the main gate of the Collectorate despite the presence of the heavy police force. Telangana Rashtra Samiti senior leaders – T. Harish Rao, M. Raghunandana Rao and M. Padma were arrested by the police in the morning itself at Patancheru. NALGONDA: Activists of TRS, led by district unit president B. Narender Reddy, staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here for three hours. Later, the activists organised a ‘rasta roko' demonstration at the bypass road to protest the arrest of the TRS cadre in Karimnagar. NIZAMABAD: The TRS activists' attempts to lay siege to the Collectorate was foiled by police by dispersing them using water cannons and arresting them.
