Bid to loot petrol outlet fails
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: A gang of eight armed men made a futile attempt to loot a petroleum outlet on Bangalore-Mysore highway in Kengeri in the early hours of Wednesday.
The cashier and six workers of the petrol station were sleeping in a room when the accused came and demanded the keys to the cash box.
“The accused, on the pretext of filling petrol, came and demanded the keys. They threatened to assault the employees. But, we refused to open the room door. When we tried to inform the police, they escaped in their car,” an employee of the outlet said.
