COIMBATORE: The City Crime Branch police have arrested an employee of a company on charges of cheating the firm to the tune of Rs 12.5 lakh. Police said Mahendran and Duraisamy were running a private paper company at Gandhipuram. S. Singaram alias Manikandan (34) was working as a sales manager for the past two years. In the last one year, Manikandan delivered goods to some customers, but the bills were made in the name of unknown customers. He later showed Rs.12.5 lakh as outstanding from the customers. Suspecting his activities, Mahendran and Duraisamy lodged a complaint. Maid servant arrested Peelamedu Police have arrested a 38-year-old woman for allegedly trying to steal a gold chain from a child at a house where she was working as a domestic help. Police said Neena of Tirupur was working in the house at Thaneer Pandal in Peelamedu. The house owner and the child's father, P. Santhosh Kumar, was said to have caught her while trying to steal the chain. Woman missing R.S. Puram police have registered a case of a 21-year-old woman missing on Tuesday. She is from NTC colony and is a final-year degree student She had gone missing on Sunday.
