28 AIADMK men arrested for violating poll norms

PUDUKOTTAI: A total of 28 members of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party have been remanded to judicial custody for having violated election norms.

According to police, a group of AIADMK cadre, last month, took out a procession, defying the model code of conduct and raised slogans in support of their party.

The police registered a case and served summons on them.

The cadre appeared at the court in Tirumayam on Thursday.

The Judicial Magistrate Siva Sakthivel remanded them to judicial custody.
