VISAKHAPATNAM: Continuing to focus on sanitation, in-charge Municipal Commissioner and VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar on Thursday warned sanitary inspectors against any laxity in ensuring workers attending duty. During his visit to VS Krishna College and surrounding areas in Ward 10, it was observed that 14 of the 65 workers were absent. He said in any ward if more than five workers were found to be absent, a day's salary would be cut from the sanitary inspector concerned. The official gave a direction to the Chief Medical Officer over phone and instructed that it should be conveyed to sanitary inspectors immediately.
