Namakkal toppers not keen on medicine

Namakkal: Not one of the four students of this district who have secured the second and third ranks in the state in the State Board as well as Matriculation Board examinations – held in the months of March and April this year – aspires to become a doctor by profession.

They showed more interest in becoming IAS officials and aeronautical engineers.
K. Vigneshwari of Vetri Vikaas Higher Secondary School near Mallur shared the third rank with 23 other students in the State among SSLC board students with Tamil as their first language.
Securing 494 out of 500 – Tamil (98) and English (97), Maths (100), Science (100) and Social (99) – she aspires to become an IAS official.
Noting that she wants to pursue her MBBS after completing schooling, she aims to be a straightforward administrator and accomplish her childhood dream of abolishing corruption from the face of the country.
Among Matriculation schools, three students of this district secured the second and third ranks in the State. C. Ambiga of Bharathi Vidhyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School stands second in the State with a total score of 492 out of 500 – Tamil (98), English (96), Maths (100), Science (100) and Social (98).
