Boys perform well in Theni

THENI: Boys performed exceedingly well in SSLC exams and girls emerged toppers in matriculation examinations in the district.
Two boys — P. Amarnath, student of Z.K.M. Higher Secondary School, Bodi and T. Surya Prakash of N.S. HSS, Theni — scored 493 marks each and shared the district first rank, according to Chief Educational Officer K. Selvaraj.
While seven students shared the second rank with 491 marks and three students who got 490 marks shared the third rank in the district.
N. Gayatri of Mohammad Fathima HSS, Uthamapalayam; S. Priyanka of Z.K.M. HSS, Bodi; S. Nivethitha of St. Agnes GHSS, Rayappanpatti; E. Gnana Sangeeth Raja of N.S.K.P. HSS, Gudalur; S. Swapna of N.S.GHSS, Theni; R. Sentheri Amuthan of Hindu HSS, Jakkampatti; and M. Maruthupandi, of Hindu HSS, Jakkampatti were declared district second rank holders. All scored 491 marks. S. Savitha of ZKM HSS, Bodi, G. Divya Bharathi of St. Agnes GHSS, Royappanpatti, Mohammad Rameez of SUM HSS, Royappanpatti and S. Niroshini of N.S. Girls HSS, Theni settled with third rank with 490 marks each.
Besides holding district second rank, Z.K.M. School student S. Priyanka created a history by scoring centum in Tamil language.
