Tuticorin: Sixty schools of state board syllabus across Tuticorin district produced centum results following the declaration of class tenth annual public exams in 2010–11 academic year.
Students from 195 state board schools in the district wrote exams.
Of the best result produced schools, 48 schools, including seven government schools in Tuticorin educational district, achieved centum results. As for Kovilpatti educational district, 12 schools, including six government schools, produced centum results.
While pass percentage in state board schools of Tuticorin educational district is 95.36, Kovilpatti educational district achieved 90.99 pass percentage.
Of the 55 matriculation schools across the district, 35 schools achieved centum results.
Twenty five schools in Tuticorin educational district and 10 schools in Kovilpatti educational district achieved the feat.
Besides, Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Tuticorin, scored centum results.
A pass percentage of 97.63 has been recorded in matriculation schools in Tuticorin educational district and Kovilpatti educational district has achieved a pass percentage of 97.84.
Collector C.N. Maheswaran honoured the toppers with shawls, shields and prizes at the Collectorate here on Friday evening.
He appealed to the toppers to bring more laurels to the district.
M.S. Parimala, Chief Educational Officer, Tuticorin, officials from the Department of Education, faculty members of various schools and parents of the toppers attended the felicitation programme.
