Thieves lynched by mob
Lucknow: In what appears to be a case of instant and brutal justice, two thieves were beaten to death allegedly by a mob in Mankaura village of Balrampur district.
At least six armed men entered the house of Mahesh Kumar Srivastava on Thursday night and started looting valuables, the police said, adding that when the family resisted they started beating them up.
Listening to the noise, villagers gathered around the house and got hold of two of the miscreants, while others managed to flee, they said. The crowd beat the two thieves to death on the spot, the police said. - PTI
