TDP celebrates NTR birth anniversary

VIJAYAWADA: The Krishna district Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and the cadre celebrated the 88th birth anniversary of N.T. Rama Rao here on Saturday. TDP senior leader G. Padmasekhar garlanded the NTR statue, while TNTUC president B. Subrahmanyam cut a cake.

Addressing the gathering of party workers the TDP leaders recalled the service rendered by NTR to the people of the State and the entire Telugu-speaking community in the world. NTR was instrumental in introducing many revolutionary programmes in the State.

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu was striving to fulfil the ambitions of founder president Rama Rao. Under his able guidance the TDP would strive to romp home in 2014 elections, they said. City official spokesperson Y. Vedavyas, city office secretary G. Dhanasekhar and city secretary P. Rajesh were present.
