etched in memory: A girl paying floral tributes to the portrait of Major Saravanan, in the city on Sunday
TIRUCHI: Floral tributes were paid on Sunday to Major M.Saravanan who laid down his life for the nation, during the Kargil War.
Wreaths were placed at the memorial of Major Saravanan who embraced martyrdom 12 years ago on May 29.
Corporation Commissioner T.T.Balsamy, Bharathidasan University Vice Chancellor K.Meena, Divisional Security Commissioner of Railway Protection Force, Tiruchi, Paramasivam, were amongst those who offered floral tributes to the martyr.
The programme was organised by Major Saravanan Memorial Trust.
