Man murdered

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his father-in-law and brother-in-law at N.S. Kunta in Falaknuma on Sunday. Azeem Ahmed and his son Liyaqat Ahmed repeatedly attacked the victim, Faizal Bin Abdullah, with a cricket bat and inflicted stab wounds killing him on the spot.

With the help of Liyaqat, Azeem killed Abdullah for harassing his daughter Rubina since marriage. She deserted Abdullah and returned to her parent's house three weeks ago but he continued to frequent his in-law's house and harass her.

On Sunday morning, he came to his in-law's house and started assaulting Rubina. Angered over this, Azeem and his son killed him. Police registered a murder case against Azeem and Liyaqat and launched a manhunt to nab them.

Family dispute

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old woman, Mamatha suffered grievous injuries after her husband Vasudev Reddy attacked her with a knife at their house at Shivrampally in connection with a family dispute.
