Saptagiri College of Hotel Management was established in the year 1989 and obtained the approval from the Government of Karnataka on 22nd June, 1990. The college is sponsored by Saptagiri Foundation and aims to provide quality education and training to those boys and girls who aspire to be the future managers in the hospitality industry. With the guests being more discriminating and the business environment more competitive, the college seek to provide the required technical and managerial skills to our students to help them excel in their careers.

The college is located at Kavoor which is just eight kilometers from Mangalore city centre. The surroundings of the college are healthy and picturesque comprising rural farm lands and hills, ideal for an educational institution.

The college has its own building with the necessary infrastructures including Food Production Laboratory, Bakery and Confectionery, Training Guest Room, Training Restaurant, Front Office Training Centre, modern Computer centre with Broadband Internet Connection, Library and well designed classrooms with essential teaching aids, Banquet Hall, Auditorium, Gymnasium and Sports equipments.

Currently the employment opportunities in the industry are extremely good and the work situation allows room for development and diversification. Leading hotels and catering companies in the country conduct on-campus interview every year and many bright students have several offers to choose from. The college has successfully placed most of its students on the job after completion of their course in many reputed hospitality industries.
