Telangana TD Forum warns TRS

Special Correspondent

Says do not obstruct meeting at Tandur ‘Ranabheri' on June 10

TD forum emboldened by ‘success' at Karimnagar meeting

K.T. Rama Rao cautioned against using intemperate language

HYDERABAD: Telangana Telugu Desam Forum has decided to hold its next “Telangana Ranabheri” at Tandur in Ranga Reddy district on June 10 and warned the Telangana Rashtra Samiti activists that they will be chased till they retreat, if they obstruct the meeting.

“If they repeat what they have done at the first ‘Ranabheri' in Karimnagar, we will not keep quiet. After all, these meetings are for achieving separate Telangana,” P. Mahendra Reddy, MLA from Tandur said, addressing a press conference here after the Forum meeting.

Clearly appearing emboldened by the “success” of Karimnagar meeting and clarity on Telangana in the party's Mahanadu, Mr. Mahender Reddy and other Forum leaders attacked Telangana Rashtra Samiti and wondered why Mr. Kodandaram of political Joint Action Committee (JAC) was silent on these attacks.

They said they have also counselled the student JAC against disturbing the meetings on Telangana.

They cautioned TRS MLA K.T. Rama Rao against using intemperate language and reminded him that Telangana never encouraged such culture.

Having been in the U.S. for so long, he seems to have forgotten his roots and using idiom alien to the region out of frustration.

Reminder to KCR

Three other MLAs, Gangula Kamalakar, K. S. Ratnam, Seethakka, and MLC Gangadhar Goud reminded Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao that Telangana cannot be achieved with his single family fighting for it and without the support of weaker sections.
