CPI slams VGTMUDA

VIJAYAWADA: The city unit of CPI criticised VGTMUDA for its plans to expand its jurisdiction up to Machilipatnam and Chilakaluripeta here on Monday. CPI city secretary K. Subba Raju said that the UDA has utterly failed in meeting the expectations.

The UDA turned out to be an ornamental body with its inefficiency. It could not take up any townships or developmental works though these were its prime responsibilities. More so, the UDA was functioning without a complete body.

Now, it wanted to expand its horizons making itself a laughing stock, he said.
