Ryots' conventions from June 7

VISAKHAPATNAM: Farmers' conventions will be organised, revenue division-wise, on June 7, 9 and 11.

According to Joint Director, Agriculture, P. Bhadrachalam, the convention for Paderu will be held at Moda Kondamma temple premises on June 7, at Narsipatnam Agricultural Market Committee on June 9, and at Chodavaram market committee on June 11.

Mandal agriculture officers and assistant directors will select farmers from the mandals and send them to the conventions.

Bullayya remembered

School of Distance Education, Andhra University, observed the 19th death anniversary of Dr. L. Bullayya, former Vice-Chancellor of AU. AU Vice-Chancellor B. Satyanarayana garlanded the statue of Bullayya and paid rich tributes to him.

School of Distance Education Director N.L. Narasimha Rao also spoke at the programme.
