Karwar: A five-year-old boy was seriously injured in Maqdoom Colony when a monkey attacked him on Monday. Samaan Abu Muhammed, who was bitten by the monkey, was taken to the government hospital in Bhatkal. He was shifted to a private hospital as there was no surgeon in the government hospital. This is the fifth case of monkey attack in Maqdoom Colony, according to the people living there. And even after repeated complaints, the Forest Department had not taken any action.— Correspondent
