KASARAGOD: Social activist Sairam Gopalakrishna Bhat has been chosen for the A.P. Abdulla Memorial award. The award, instituted in memory of the distinguished political and social activist, will be presented to Mr. Bhat by UAE Exchange chief executive officer Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty here on June 4. Indian Union Muslim League district president Cherkalam Abdulla will preside over the function, P.K. Ahamed, Abu Dhabi-Kasaragod District Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre office-bearer, told a press conference here on Thursday.
