NEW DELHI: Services athlete Ravinder Singh has been suspended for two years for an anti-doping rule violation.
Ravinder, an Armyman from Artillery Centre, Jabalpur, tested positive for steroid methandienone and stimulant mephentermine during the Services athletics championship held in Hyderabad last December.
The javelin thrower, who belongs to Rajasthan, gave a written submission during hearing that he did not know how the banned substances got into his body.
The Dinesh Dayal-headed hearing panel suspended him from January 4, 2011, the day he was provisionally suspended.
