Non-local government staff to be repatriated
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Conceding a key demand of the pro-Telangana organisations, the State government issued orders on Friday to repatriate all the non-local employees occupying non-local cadre posts in the State by virtue of deputations and transfers.
It has also imposed a ban on deputations and transfers of the employees who are natives of a particular zone to other zones, even if such deputations and transfers are required to meet administrative exigencies. The stand taken by the government taking the decision is that deputations and transfers of non-locals to local cadre posts will amount to violation of the Presidential Order.
Although the General Administration (GAD) and Finance departments expressed inability to provide details of the number of employees who would be affected, the Telangana JAC of employees said there were 13,000 non-local employees occupying the local cadre posts in different zones, some of them in Telangana, by way of deputations and transfers.
