Staff Reporter

KOLKATA: A huge cache of arms and ammunition found in an assembling unit were recovered from the house of a local leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at Garbeta in West Bengal's Paschim Medinipur district on Friday.

On a complaint from the residents of Dhobaberia, the police raided the house of Prakash Sardar and came across a firearm assembling unit. “Sixteen muskets, two revolvers and 1,000 rounds of ammunition were found at his house. Raids are on to nab him,” the police said.
