Mandira to promote stem cell banking
New Delhi: Television star Mandira Bedi, who is expecting her first child soon, has decided to promote stem cell banking. The 39-year-old has become the brand ambassador for Cryo-Save, an adult stem cell storage bank.
“Stem cells can be used to treat various life-threatening diseases. Parents take various steps to ensure a safe and secure future for their child. One small but very significant step towards securing the health of your child is by storing the stem cells of your new born.”
The Shanti star, married to film director Raj Kaushal for 12 years now, announced in January that she was expecting a child.
“When a child is born, parents open a savings bank account to ensure the financial and educational future of the newborn. In my opinion, banking the stem cells of the newborn is equally important,” Kaushal said. — PTI
