Aid sought for treatment

Hyderabad: A patient suffering from a rare disease ‘Ankylosing Spondylitis', which progressively stiffens the joints appealed for financial assistance to meet the expenses of the treatment.

V. Raghavendra from Kamanpur mandal of Karimnagar was advised by NIMS doctors to undergo ‘Biological Infliximab therapy' which would cost him Rs 4.4 lakh.

His parents, both daily wage labourers could raise some Rs. 3 lakh so far including a Rs. 50,000 financial assistance from PM Relief Fund.

The assistance from PMRF would lapse if the remaining Rs. 1.4 lakh is not raised by July first week. Contributions can be made to Account No: 107910100012376 Andhra Bank branch, NIMS.
