Dinesh bows out

New Delhi: Asian Games silver medallist Dinesh Kumar (81kg) and Balwinder Beniwal (69kg) lost their opening round bouts in the Giraldo Cordova Cardin Memorial boxing tournament in Havana, Cuba on Saturday.

Balwinder, was the first to take the ring in the welterweight category against Roniel Iglesias of the Cuba main team. Roniel, a bronze medallist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and gold medallist (64 kg) at the Milan World championship, won on points 26-12.

Olympian Dinesh Kumar lost to Yamaguchi Florentino of Brazil 14-24. — PTI
