Easy win for JJ Nagar

HYDERABAD: JJ Nagar scored a 2-0 win over Loganathan XI in the Sachdev Sports Cup football tournament (under-14), organised by Shastri Soccer Club, at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here.

Striker Deepak gave his team an early lead in the seventh minute of the first-half and in the second session Gowtham was on target in the 36th minute to complete the tally for the winner.

In another match, Gymkhana Club and Golnaka Youth Club were locked in a 1-1 draw with Subham scoring for the former and Vinod for the latter.

Chess tournaments

Milton Balm XI scored a 45-run win over Prasanna XI in the final of the MV Narasimha Rao Trophy sub-juniors cricket tournament at the St. John's Coaching Foundation here.

The scores: Milton Balm XI 140 in 15 overs (Nikhil 40, Abdul 30) bt Prasanna XI 95 (Rohit Yadav 30, Baba three for 12) .
