Ajay Kumar to lead

VIJAYAWADA: M. Ajay Kumar will lead the Andhra u-22 team in the quadrangular cricket tournament for D.V. Subba Rao Trophy to be held at RDT Sports Village at Anantapur from June 11 to 25. Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala along with host Andhra will take part in the three-day tournament played on league basis.

KPL shifted to indoor

The nine-day Kabaddi Premier League, which is scheduled to be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, from June 8 to 16, has been shifted to Dandamudi Ramagopala Rao indoor stadium as the weather forecast predicted incessant rain during that period, said Mr. K.P. Rao, chairman of the KPL here on Saturday.

Chess tourney

The trials to select Andhra Pradesh under-7 and women ‘B' teams will be held at Seesali Sai Baba Temple at Bhimavaram from June 17 to 19. Contact: 92488 23336.

Chess meet

Krishna District Chess Association and NTR Stadium, Gudivada, are jointly conducting a State open tournament for men and women on June 11 to 12 at Patamata indoor stadium at Vijayawada.
