Iniyan in lead

CHENNAI: P. Iniyan (8.5) in the boys' section, along with Tejasvi Murugavel and V. Keerthi (8) in the girls' category led the field after the ninth round of the Tamil Nadu State under-9 chess championships at Jawahar Engg. College, here on Saturday.

Half a point behind the leader is C. S. Ashwath at eight points. Sharing the third spot are Sadhu S. Adithya, A. Abhishek and R. Prajesh at seven points. In girls', following the leading duo, was top seed M. Elakkeya at seven points.
