Work on pipeline and sump costing Rs. 5 crore Drinking water to be drawn from Penna river KADAPA: Yogi Vemana University Vice-Chancellor A. Ramachandra Reddy performed bhoomi puja on Saturday for expansion of the kitchen in Cheyyeru hostel on the university campus. The V-C examined the construction of a pipeline and sump of 4.40 lakh litres estimated to cost Rs. 5 crore by Rural Water Supply engineering wing to draw drinking water from a scheme from Penna river to the university and directed officers to complete it soon. He inspected construction works being executed by Nagarjuna Constructions and directed expeditious completion of the works. YVU Registrar C. Sivarami Reddy, engineer K. Nagaraju, assistant engineer Nawaz and contractors others participated.
