VIJAYAWADA: As part of a national campaign kicked off to mark the World Environment Day, the local unit of the ING Life India will ask people of the city to vote for a greener Vijayawada with a slogan “Think Green: Plan & Plant”. The three-day drive will commence on Sunday. The employees of the company will visit designated areas in the city seeking people's vote for a ‘Greener Vijayawada”. They will also distribute saplings to the people. “The whole idea behind the drive is to create awareness on environmental issues. We all must feel responsible to save the ecology,” said Bhushan, from the marketing wing of the company. At the national-level, over 3,000 employees of the ING Life spread across 210 cities, will participate in the campaign. The drive will end on June 8. The ING Life has a presence panning 210 cities across the country, with over 35,000 tied agents and a strong Bancassurance partner, ING Vysya Bank.
